The Sklansky and Malmuth starting hands table groups together certain hands in Texas Hold’em based on their strength. Starting with the strongest set of hands that you can be dealt in group 1, the hands get progressively weaker working down the table until the virtually unplayable hands in group 9.

In their book, Sklansky and Malmuth provide some in-depth guidelines for starting hand strategy in limit Texas Hold’em using this table. Unfortunately, I’m not going to work out any guidelines for you for the NL Hold’em game using this table because:

*It would be difficult to remember and implement.
*Like any starting hand strategy, it would have its flaws.
*You should avoid using strict guidelines and set rules as much as possible during play.
So really there is not a lot to take away from this table from a purely strategic perspective. Nonetheless it’s interesting to see how specific starting hands compare to one another based on their preflop value.

Although it’s a very popular hand group rankings table, it’s not going to do you too much good to learn the whole thing off by heart. *Call – Call the size of the big blind or highest bet if another player has raised, and take part in the hand
*Raise – Make a larger bet than the current bet (or big blind). Any other player who wants to continue would then have to call your increased bet in order to carry on. A raise must be at least an increase the size of the Big Blind so the minimum raise would be 2 times the big blind amount. Empire City Casino will resume live racing operations without spectators at the Yonkers Raceway on Monday, three months after the coronavirus pandemic closed the facility.
With approval from the New York Gaming Commission, operations will restart with a three-night weekly schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, the company said in a statement. Steven Ruiz: Saints -3.5 over Buccaneers
Continuity is going to be a big thing following a weird offseason. I think the Saints have it. They’re bringing basically everybody back from last year’s NFC South championship team. The Bucs, on the other hand, are working in a new quarterback with a new offense.
Charles Curtis: Steelers -5.5 over Giants
The Giants defense isn’t good enough to contain a now-healthy Big Ben, and I don’t see how Daniel Jones can operate against a stifling Steelers defense that will pick off at least one of his passes.
Nick Schwartz: Eagles -5.5 over Redskins
Washington Wide receiver Terry McLaurin had 255 receiving yards against the Eagles in 2019, but Darius Slay is now in the Eagles backfield to lock him down. The Football Team doesn’t have any other established offensive weapons for Dwayne Haskins, and I’m going to need to see Antonio Gibson produce before I believe the fantasy hype.
